The kiddos with Cousin Kobe

We went over to Luke and Brooke's new home the other day...it is so beautiful!! Mattie and Ryan had so much fun playing with cousin Kobe. They tend to fight over who is going to hold him first :)

Mattie and those 'Feathers'

I took Mattie and her friend Madisyn to the mall the other weekend to get a feather put in their hair. They are pretty neat...I must admit :) They both decided on the blue and black one and now Mattie wants another one put in! I'm sure she'll have several before the year is up!!

Go Hawkeyes!!!!

We went over to Heidi's house for the Iowa vs. Iowa State game. The Hawkeyes didn't win but we still had fun :) I got some great pictures of the kiddos.

Labor Day Weekend in Boji

We went to Okoboji for the last time this year and had another great weekend. Ryan caught his first fish which he was VERY proud of :) We celebrated Ellie, Shawn and Lary's Birthdays by having a fish fry the last night we were there. We went for a couple of boat rides and did plenty of shopping since they have great deals this time of year.

Grandma's House/Cousin Kobe

My Grandma Charlene and Grandma Bryant had my sister and I over for our Birthdays so we were able to get some cute pictures of the kiddos together. The kids love spending time with 'Kobe Man'! Mattie tries to hold him a lot but he just wants to crawl and doesn't like to be held very much. Ryan tends to be a little rough with him but loves him to pieces! We try to explain to him that he is a lot bigger than Kobe so he has to be careful with him. He calls Aunt B up all the time and says 'Can I talk to Kobe Man?'...it's the cutest thing.

Mattie's First Day of School

Mattie started Third Grade yesterday!! I cannot believe it!!! She was really excited to go back to school and see all of her friends again. She got Mrs.Gomez as her teacher and she seems very nice! Their school got a new gymnasium and cafeteria so she enjoyed that as well.

4th of July in Okoboji

We had a wonderful time in Okoboji over the 4th! Mattie had gone up there with Shawn and Virginia a week earlier so her friend Madisyn rode up with us. We went swimming, boating, tubing and took the kids to Arnold's Park so they could ride rides and do some shopping. We did get to see some fireworks and Mattie got a great picture of one of them :) Ryan isn't a huge fan of jumping in the lake yet but he loved to just go fishing off the dock.
